Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler takes a question, during during a press gathering after the “Reducing Food Waste Showcase” event, with U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue that addresses efforts to combat food waste with business, agency, and stakeholder partnerships, in Washington, D.C., on October 18, 2018. They will then sign a joint agency formal agreement under the Winning on Reducing Food Waste initiative. The agreement is aimed at improving coordination and communication across federal agencies attempting to better educate Americans on the impacts and importance of reducing food loss and waste. Then a panel discussion about food waste reduction will be held with the Academy of Nutrition, & Dietetics, Campus Kitchens Projects, University of Arkansas, and the American Farm Bureau Federation.
